IRS Economic Impact Payments for Non-Filers

As mentioned in our post last week, the IRS began disbursing Economic Impact Payments to tax filers this week. Most tax filers will not need to do anything to receive this payment.

If you are a non-filer, meaning that you were not required to file a tax return in 2019, please follow this link to the IRS website and click on the Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here button to provide the IRS with your information.

Once you click the button, you’ll be asked to set up an account with a login and password. You’ll then need to enter your personal information to include social security numbers, filing status and bank account information in order to receive your payment.

This portal is only for people who are not required to file a tax return because they do not meet the income thresholds.  If you meet the filing requirements you should file your return as soon as possible or contact our office so we can prepare your return.

Please be on the alert for scammers – the IRS will never call or email you and ask you for personal information such as birth dates, social security numbers or bank account information.
